About Us

Founded in 1965 by Montessori teacher Eva Stratigakos of Athens, Greece, Montessori Pointe Claire began as a half-day preschool and evolved into a full-day Montessori school and daycare to meet the changing needs of families.

Leadership has remained within the founding family for three generations. Eva Stratigakos’s daughter, Artemis Erfle, served as director from 1986 to 2025, and today the school is led by her daughter, Marina Erfle. As a family-run school, Montessori Pointe Claire continues to benefit from the involvement of multiple generations, preserving the values and vision established over 60 years ago.

Childhood is a time to grow, explore, and thrive in a safe, caring environment. At Montessori Pointe Claire, children learn, play, and build lasting friendships while developing academically, physically, and socially.

Montessori Pointe Claire is a licensed private daycare with 115 available places for children ages 14 months to 5 years. Licensed by the Ministère de la Famille (Permit Nos. 2858-4241 and 3097-3143), we follow all provincial daycare regulations. Families are eligible for Quebec and federal tax rebates and credits to help offset childcare costs.
